Getting Started with Classlink and Carnegie Learning Elementary Math

This article guides teachers through their initial login and class setup when using Classlink rostering and login with Carnegie Learning Elementary Math.

First Time Class Setup

  1. After launching Carnegie Learning from the Classlink Launchpad, you will be taken to the MyCL Portal. Your classes will already be synced from Classlink and will be displayed with text reading “Complete Your Class”

  2. You will receive a prompt reading “Welcome to Carnegie Learning” which begins the class setup process. Click Next in this dialog box.  (If you do not receive the prompt, click the Arrow at the top right of your class icon.)

  3. When prompted to select the subject for your class, choose Math and click Next

  4. When prompted to select the Product, choose Math in Clear Learning Center and click Next.

  5.  Clicking Next will take you to the Clear Learning Center.

  6. In the Products section, click the Pencil icon to edit the products assigned to the class.

  7. Choose Mathematics, and click Save

  8. Select the Primary Course that you want to use for this class. (You will have an option to select additional courses later on if you would like to use materials from other levels.)

  9. Select the Materials you would like to use with your class. In most cases, you will be selecting both the Teacher and Student editions of your primary course.

  10.  Click Finish and your class will be configured. You should now see an image of the Elementary textbook under Products

Important note: The Clear Learning Center will show a list of your students under the Roster tab. This will not reflect your roster in the Elementary Math platform until every student from your class has logged in and launched Elementary Math.
  11.  Your class is now ready for use with Carnegie Learning Elementary math. To access the Elementary platform, go back to the MyCL Portal page by clicking Back to Portal on the bottom left. Then, from the MyCL Portal, click View Materials for the class you wish to access, and click Elementary Math Dashboard.

Important note: In order to create class-level assignments, you must have at least one student on your class dashboard in the Carnegie Learning Elementary platform.
