Reallocate Teacher eBook Licenses

As a District Administrator, the needs of your schools change from year to year. The instructions below will explain how to move your licenses from one teacher to another depending on your student counts. Your total number of licenses can be distributed as necessary between schools and teachers. For example, if a teacher has more students one year than they did previously, you can give them additional licenses to accommodate their larger class size. 

REALLOCATE TEACHER EBOOK LICENSES WITHIN A SCHOOL

 
  1. Log in to the EMC eBooks website at https://emc.bookshelf.emcp.com/ and click Admin on the bottom-right of the page.

  1. Once on the Admin screen, click Manage District Licenses.

  1. Next, select the Action menu to the right of the book licenses you wish to manage. Then click Manage.

  1. On the District License Management screen, the schools to which these licenses have been allocated will appear in the box to the right. You can see the date the licenses were allocated, the quantity, and the status of these licenses.

  2. Click the Manage button underneath Actions in the Current School Licenses section for the school you wish to manage.

  1. The School License Management screen now displays all teachers that have had licenses distributed to them.

  2. If all licenses are allocated and enabled, you may have to disable licenses to redistribute them amongst the teachers. Disabling licenses will return them to the available category for the school. You may have to disable the licenses from the school level if you plan to allocate the licenses to a teacher from another school. See Related Articles below to reallocate school licenses. 

 

  1. Click Disable underneath Actions for the teachers that are enabled in the Current Teacher Licenses section.

  2. You will receive a beige confirmation message that reads The Instructor License was disabled. You can see available licenses under the License Seats Available section to the left.

  1.  To allocate some of these licenses to a teacher, begin by clicking the drop-down menu under Select Teacher Email. Then click which teacher you would like to give licenses to.

  1.  After selecting which teacher to allocate licenses to, select the number of licenses from the drop-down menu.

  1.  Once you are satisfied with your selection, click the Assign button.

  1.  After assigning licenses to a teacher, the screen will refresh showing the number of seats that have been assigned.

  1.  Once all licenses are allocated, you may adjust the number of licenses allocated by clicking the Edit selection. This can be used for moving a selected number of seats from one teacher to another teacher.

  2.  To start, click the Edit button for the teacher you wish to take seats from in the Current Teacher Licenses section.

  1.  Select which teacher to move seats from in the Select Teacher Email drop-down menu.

  2.  Next, select the number of seats under the Select number of Seats to move drop-down menu.

  3.  Click Assign to complete the transfer of seats.
