Performance assignments are also video responses, but those are shared only with the teacher. Teachers set the directions for the activity, the amount of time students have to prepare and record their response, as well as how many attempts they get for each. Teachers may give written and/or video feedback to the students. All Performance assignments are teacher-graded.
1. Log in to Passport and locate the assignment you wish to complete.
2. Hover over the assignment tile to see assignment details. Click the tile to open.
3. The Performance assignment window will open. You will see the introduction and parameters of the activity. Be sure to allow your camera and microphone permission if prompted. Click Next to begin the activity.

4. You will see the prompt and the associated image or video, and be given the allotted time to think about and begin preparing your response. The blue bar will grow darker as the time counts down.
5. When time has expired, you will see a message indicating if you have more views (prep time) remaining. You can click the arrow to view the prompt again, or click Next. When you have no remaining views, your only option will be to click Next.
6. You will see a countdown and then your recording time begins. Speak as much as you can in the time given by your teacher. The blue bar will grow darker as time counts down. You can click Next before time runs out if you are finished.
7. You will see and hear your video played back. If you have additional recording tries, you can click the arrow to record again, or click Next to finish the activity if you are satisfied. When you have no remaining tries, your only option will be to click Next.
8. You will have the option to assess My Performance on a scale of 1-10 and leave Comments for My Teacher if desired. Click Submit to turn in the assignment.
9. To view completed assignments, check the Submitted tab for items that are waiting for your teacher to score them, and Evaluated for items that have a score and feedback if entered.
