Text Summaries and vocabulary glossed terms are available in written and audio form in multiple home languages. All students have access to these features. Text selections are currently only available in English.
Text summaries can be found at the top of any activity that requires students to utilize the text. Incorporating these text summaries into lessons can help frontload helpful background knowledge that develops understanding and build student curiosity about the text.
Click on the title of the selection with the circled i in the toolbar at the top of the page.
From here, students can change the language by using the drop down menu and either read or click Listen to hear the summary.
All students can access the definitions of glossed terms in multiple home languages in both written and audio format.
When students click on the term in blue, a window will pop up that provides a definition in English. It also allows students to change languages.
Then, students can either read the definition or listen to the audio by pushing the play button.
