Each grade level of Lenses on Literature has 6 units. All units are backwards planned around the Driving Task Prompt, which is the final writing product students produce at the end of the unit. Throughout the unit, students learn and develop the skills they will need to successfully complete the Driving Task Prompt.
When you choose a grade level in the CLC, the course tree for that grade level will appear in the left Navigation Bar. This includes multiple teacher resources and the six units.
A unit can be opened by clicking on the arrow to the right of the unit name.
The Unit Overview and the six sections of the unit will appear in the drop down menu. The Unit Overview contains a short description of the unit as well as access to both the teacher and student editions.
Each unit contains the same six sections - Unit Launch, Comprehension, Building Knowledge, Genre Study, Synthesis, Writing Process.
Click the arrow next to the section name to open up the drop down menu. Then choose the lesson you wish to open. All of the activity cards, including the lesson plan, for that lesson will appear on the right side of your screen.
