Writing Mentor is a Google Docs add-on that offers coaching and feedback to help students with academic writing.
Install the Google Docs Writing Mentor app from the Add On menu or at the Writing Mentor website at mentormywriting.org. Watch the video tutorial here if you need help.
Once you have downloaded the app, you can open it from a google doc by going to the Add-ons tab.
You will be guided through the process by a “mentor” named Sam.
Mirrors & windows contains writing activities that are integrated with Writing Mentor. To find these activities, go to your Assignments Library, and search for “writing mentor.”
In these activities, students are instructed to get feedback from Writing Mentor, and then share their feedback report with you or with a classmate.
