M&W Assign from Resources (eBooks)

To assign activities in Passport, you must first have a class created. Activities located in eBooks can be assigned directly from an eBook on your Resources page.

ASSIGN ACTIVITIES FROM EBOOKS

1. To access your resources in Passport, open the Content Library and click on the Resources tab.

2.  Change the filters as needed. Click on the eBook you wish to view activities in, such as the Student Edition. You can assign from the student or teacher’s edition.  Assignment previews are visible in the Student Edition only.

3. A panel will open on the right side that says “Assignments by Page”. Note - If you launch the book full screen, you lose the ability to assign directly from the book.

4. To preview the activity, click the red eBook icon on the page. Note - this feature is available from the Student Edition only.

5. To assign an activity, click the plus sign next to the activity title in the right margin to add the assignment to the cart. Once you have added the assignment to the cart, the icon will change to a minus sign showing the activity is already in the cart. You can slide the Assign Cart up or down if it is in your way.

6. You can choose activities from more than one resource to put into your cart. Click on Resources along the top to choose another item, such as the Workbook, and add more activities. Continue doing so until you have all of the activities you want to assign in the cart.

7. As long as you do not refresh your screen, use your back arrow, or leave Passport, the activities you select will stay in your cart anchored to the right of your screen.

8. When you are ready to assign the activities from your cart, click on the Assign Cart to open it.

9. You can drag the activities in the cart into a certain order if you like. You have the option to Assign or Convert to Bundle. See related articles below for information on Bundles.

10. Click Assign. You can review your activity choices and reorder the activities by clicking and dragging them. Click Next.

11. Select one or more classes to assign the activities to. You set the Start Date & Time, Due Date & Time and Max Attempts for all classes at the top.  If you wish, you can change start and due dates and max attempts for each individual class. You can also click open the class to make individual student adjustments to the dates and max attempts and exempt some students from the activities..

12. Click Assign.  You will see a popup alert to confirm that your students have received the assignment.
