One option is to place mid-year transfer students at Module 1, Unit 1, Workspace 1 and assess their readiness for advancement. If students do well, advance them. If they are struggling, you can have them come in during study hall, or before or after school to catch up. The program is a great assessment tool for those students who join your class already in progress. It’s flexible enough that students can be moved where they need to be, and it helps ensure that teachers know who needs more attention to get caught up to the rest of the class.
