Using the MATHia Unit Overview as a Teaching Tool

MATHia unit overviews provide students and teachers with:

• What You'll Learn, a checklist of skills, the students will demonstrate throughout the unit.
• A list of Key Terms that students will encounter throughout the MATHia workspaces in the unit. 
• A list of workspaces students will complete.

How can I incorporate the unit overview into my lessons?

1. Set learning expectations by connecting What You’ll Learn from the MATHia Unit Overview with the Learning Goals in the student text.

2. Reinforce the link between the Key Terms in MATHia and the Key Terms in the lessons by incorporating both sets of Key Terms into your lesson plans and vocabulary development for your students.
