What Do I Do with my ReadyCheck Assessment Data?

Your students have taken the ReadyCheck assessment. You have the reports in your hand.  Now what?

Things to Think About When Looking At Assessment Data:

• Look at commonly selected misconceptions. What does this tell you about what students DO know?

• There is a difference between choosing to omit a question and not having the time to see or do a problem.

• Look at the data by standard. What trends do you notice? What do you wonder?

Look at the Data by Standard:

• View standards by class average score

  • Are there standards for which the entire class showed proficiency?

  • Are there standards for which the entire class showed a need for re-engagement? What MATHia workspaces can you assign to address the standard? What activities or skills practice questions are available to re-engage students with the standard?

• View standards by individual score

  • Did any students show a need for re-engagement in multiple standards?

  • Which students can you group in small groups to address standards in need of re-engagement?

Look at the Strengths Exhibited:

• Are there students you could pair together to enrich?

• Are there students who could work together who may share different strengths?

• Where can you reduce scaffolding?

• Where can you provide activities to stretch or extend student thinking?

Look at Commonly Selected Misconceptions:

• Where is small group instruction needed?

• Where can you provide short collaborative opportunities?

• Where are individual opportunities for mastery appropriate?

Look at Individual Student Needs:

• Are there students you could pair together to help them re-engage with a standard?

• Is a whole-class or small group mini-lesson appropriate?

• Is individual instruction necessary for mastery?

Assign Content Based on Student and Class Data:

Now that you have identified standards for enrichment and re-engagement, navigate to the Intervention Resources within each topic or search available resources using the Explore tab to assign content to individuals, small groups of students, or the whole class.

Now that you have identified standards for enrichment and re-engagement, search the MATHia Sequences in Teacher’s Toolkit for content to assign to individuals, small groups of students, or the whole class.
