What’s the best way to grade the assessments and assignments?

Many schools develop a rubric, while other give a point for each response. Some teachers who use Carnegie Learning curriculum go another route and give points for effort, not correct answers—the philosophy is that assessments are for grading; assignments are for practice—and others use a traditional point value system for assignments. The grading method will often be the one that fits into your school culture or your personal teaching philosophy. The Carnegie Learning curriculum offers that flexibility.
