Assign Student eBook Codes

Students need an access code and Carnegie Learning eBooks account to access their eBooks. Teachers have 2 options:

GENERATE STUDENT ACCESS CODES

  1. Log in to the Carnegie Learning eBooks website at https://bookshelf.carnegielearning.com/ and click Admin on the bottom-right of the page. If you don't have that option, contact your District Administrator for eBooks or Customer Support.

  1. Under the Teacher Admin section, select Manage Licenses.

  1. The license management page displays license titles and the quantities that have been allocated to you.

  2. Choose which program or set of licenses you wish to view and select the corresponding Action button, then select Manage.

  1. If you see No Data Available in Table, this means you must generate your codes.

  1. To do this select “Generate All Codes” from the top menu.

  2. After generating all codes you will see your table populate with one code for each license.

DOWNLOAD STUDENT ACCESS CODES

  1. Select “Download All Codes” to export your codes to a spreadsheet.

  1. Open the Excel document containing your access codes, highlight your codes, and enlarge the size to print the codes for your students.

  2.  Before providing your students with an access code, please ensure your students have created their eBooks account. See Related Articles below.

  3.  Students may redeem access codes after logging into their account. See Related Articles below.

  4.  Once a student redeems a code, their email address will appear in your license management table next to the code that was used. You will also see the last time the user logged in and accessed the eBooks.

ASSIGN STUDENT ACCESS CODES VIA EMAIL ADDRESS

  1. You may enroll your student to an eBooks access code using their email address. This process will only work if your student has a pre-existing eBooks account. See Related Articles below for instructions.

  2. To begin, navigate to your Teacher License Management page and view your access codes.

  3. Click Assign Student next to an access code.

  1. Enter the student email address and click Assign User.

  1. After assigning an email to the access code, you will see their information populate in the license management table.
