We are here to fully support you in your efforts to continue providing learning opportunities for all of your students. You can use Passport to implement part or all of your virtual learning needs. Students have access to many of the resources and tools without teachers specifically assigning activities. Passport can be the solution to many of your current needs, whether it is directing students to practice, maintaining skills, exploring culture, staying engaged in the target language, collaborating, or communicating.
Teachers can control the degree to which their students engage with resources and tools. Before you direct students to Passport, make sure you have logistics ready to go.
Make sure teachers and students know how to log in into Passport.
Your district may be set up with single sign-on access using Clever, ClassLink, or EdLink for all teachers and students. If your district has Clever, ClassLink, or EdLink sign into your portal and check to see if there is a Passport icon.
If your district uses single sign-on, please ensure all students and teachers follow the district instructions to log in and access Passport.
If your district does not use single sign-on, please access and log into Passport at carnegielearning.com/login.
If you are part of a Passport district and are unsure of how to log in or do not have an account, please contact Customer Support www.carnegielearning.com/contact/#support
Directions for student logins should come from the teacher once classes are set up, but support for teachers and students can be found in the World Languages Help Center https://support.carnegielearning.com/help-center/world-languages/.
Teachers must have a class set up in order to access resources. Clever, ClassLink and EdLink district teachers have classes already set up, but must complete the steps for class setup according to the directions in the Help Center.
To give students access to resources, such as readers and cultural videos, or to assign students activities, students must be added to a class. For districts that do not use Clever, ClassLink, or EdLink, there are instructions to set up classes and options about how to get students into classes in the Help Center.
There are many different ways that you can incorporate Passport resources and tools into this new learning environment.
You can:
simply give students direction to use resources such as flashcards
have them practice with activities
access target language input with readers and iCulture
maintain communication with Flipgrid and Performance
assign work through Bundles or individual activities.
Visit the Help Center above to learn more about any of these items.
