eReaders can be assigned by a teacher with a due date for students to complete the reading. This does not assign any activities to the student, but places the eReader on the student’s assignments page. There is a button to Mark as Submitted to alert the teacher that the reading has been completed.
Log in to the Carnegie Learning online learning environment and locate the eReader on your assignments page.
Hover over the assignment tile to see assignment details or click the i for more information.
A blue icon on the assignment tile indicates that it is In Progress. That means that you have opened it at some point, but have not yet completed and submitted it. Your teacher can also see that the assignment is in progress.
Click the tile to open the eReader. The eReader will open up in your online learning environment screen. All navigation and tools will be available.
You can maximize the size of the screen and eliminate the top header bar by clicking the 4 corners icon in the upper right hand corner to Enter Fullscreen.
The Mark as Submitted button is moveable if it is in the way of you reading the pages. Only click the button when you are finished with the eReader. This will notify your teacher that it has been submitted and completed.
To view completed eReaders, go to the Evaluated tab for Assignments. This will allow you to open the eReader again.
