eBook assignments include activities located in the Student Edition, as well as any other workbooks or ancillaries with assignable activities. eBook activities can be multiple choice, true/false, matching, fill in the blank, or open ended question and answer. The teacher sets a start and due date, as well as a maximum number of attempts.
Many activities are automatically graded and upon submitting answers will show an immediate score and which items are correct or incorrect. Other activities are teacher-graded and will be submitted back to your with a score and feedback (if entered).
Log in to the online learning environment and locate the assignment you wish to complete.
Hover over the assignment tile to see assignment details or click the i for more information.
A blue flag on the assignment tile indicates that it is In Progress. That means that you have opened it at some point, but have not yet completed and submitted it. Your teacher can also see that the assignment is in progress.
Click the tile to open the assignment. The assignment will open up on your screen.
You can maximize the size of the screen and eliminate the top header bar by clicking the 4 corners icon in the upper right hand corner to Enter Fullscreen.
The appropriate eBook will open up as will the activity window. You can click and drag the activity window to a different position on the page if desired.
The number of attempts given to you by your teacher is at the top of the activity window. These are the attempts that count toward your score.
Complete the activity. Special characters are available at the bottom of the window if needed.
You can click Save for Later if you haven’t finished the activity and want to save your answers.
When finished entering your answers, click Check Answers or Submit Answers.
You will see correct/incorrect feedback for automatically graded activities; there will be no feedback for teacher-grade activities.
If you have another attempt available, you may click the red eBook activity icon on the page to re-open the activity and make corrections.
Once all attempts have been used, you will be in Practice Mode. These do not affect your score, unless your teacher chooses to change your score. Upon submitting from Practice Mode, you will see full feedback details if they are available.
To view completed assignments, check the Submitted tab for items that are waiting for your teacher to score them, and Evaluated for items that have a score and feedback if entered.
If you have remaining attempts, you can access those from the Submitted or Evaluated tab if you already closed the eBook activity.
