ExamView on Catalina OS WL

The ExamView application is no longer supported on the newest Mac operating system, Catalina OS, but you can download the TurningPoint desktop app for features that replicate ExamView functionalities. The new TurningPoint app gives Mac customers tools with the ability to create new test items, and to view and edit ExamView test bank files. *Your program may not have ExamView

 

INSTALL EXAMVIEW

 
 

  1. In the online learning environment, from the Content Library, click on Resources.  

          

  1. Click on the Annotated Teacher’s Edition.

  1. Go to page 01, the Program Resources Page.

 

  1. If your program has ExamView, you will see it as an option towards the bottom of the second column of resources.

  2. Click on the link for ExamView.

  3. A new tab will open in your browser. Click on the icon that matches your computer’s operating system. Hovering over the title will show you the full file name to see if it is for Mac or Windows.

  1. Click on the download icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

  1. Click Download Anyway.

  1. Once the download is complete, please click to Open. On a Mac, the file will also be located under Downloads within Finder. 

  2. Locate the ExamView Installer and click to Open.

  3. The ExamView Installer will launch. Click Continue.

  1. When the Licenses Agreement opens, accept the terms, and click Continue.

  1. Click Agree.

  1. Choose how you want to install this software and click Continue.

  1. Click Install.

  1. If prompted, enter password to install software and click Install Software.

  1. Click Close.

 

 

INSTALL TURNINGPOINT

 

  1. In order to access these features, go to the Turning Technologies website.

  2. Download the TurningPoint desktop app.

CONVERT TEST BANK FILES

 

  1. To convert an ExamView test bank file, open TurningPoint and sign in to your account.

  1. Select the Content tab. Click the Content drop-down and select Convert ExamView/CPS File.

  1.  Locate the ExamView test bank file to be converted, select it and click Open. ExamView test bank files are likely to be stored in Applications > eInstruction > ExamView Pro > Banks.

  1. TurningPoint imports the file and places it under the Content tab.

  2. You can now view and customize your test banks, as you would in ExamView.
