You may export Carnegie Learning eBooks codes in order to correlate each access code with your students’ email addresses. This will allow you to assign all codes that were exported simultaneously when you upload the document to Carnegie Learning eBooks.
NOTE: This roster upload process is designed for students who already have an account with Carnegie Learning eBooks. If you would like to upload new students and assign a specific password, please contact Customer Support.
Log in to the Carnegie Learning eBooks website at https://bookshelf.carnegielearning.com/ and click Admin on the bottom-right of the page. If you don't have that option, contact your District Administrator for eBooks or Customer Support.
Under the Teacher Admin section, select Manage Licenses.
The license management page displays license titles and the quantities that have been allocated to you.
Choose which program or set of licenses you wish to view and select the corresponding Action button, then select Manage.
If you see No Data Available in Table, this means you must generate your codes.
To do this select “Generate All Codes” from the top menu.
After generating all codes you will see your table populate with one code for each license.
To export codes, click on the Select Action drop-down menu on the top right, click Export Codes as .CSV.
Click the Select All checkbox. Then, click Go. This will download the list of codes to a CSV file and save it to your Downloads folder. If you do not want to export all of the codes, you can select the necessary codes using the checkboxes in the Select column.
Use this CSV file to import your roster of students and provide all of your students with access to the Carnegie Learning eBooks.
Open the CSV file that was saved to your computer. There will be a column titled Email.
Enter an email into each row with an access code. There should be no more than one email for each cell.
When complete, save the updated CSV file.
Now you need to import the updated CSV with the access codes and emails.
From the Seat Management screen, ensure all the codes listed on the .CSV are selected, use the drop-down box on the top-right, and select Import Students to Selected Codes.
Click Choose File and then select the CSV file you have added the student emails to and click Upload Students.
Your students’ accounts will be tied to the access codes after the import is finished.
PLEASE NOTE: To avoid any login issues, we strongly recommend having every student create their Carnegie Learning eBooks account prior to assigning them their code.
