As students work in MATHstream, there are many ways in which you can measure your students' growth.
Track the number of MATHstream videos that must be repeated for students to show mastery of the content. For a student to pass, a stream they must score greater than 70%.
Set a goal to reduce the number of non-mastered streams. Remind students that if their final screen says they haven’t mastered the stream, they can attempt the stream again. If the stream was assigned, students will locate the assigned stream in their My Assignments list. If the stream was not assigned, students will locate the stream on their My Profile page.
Track student engagement through 3-2-1 Stream Summary completion. Look for completion of all tasks, reflection statements about what they missed and why, detailed examples from the stream, and thoughtful wonderings.
Set individual MATHstream goals and record progress towards these goals. Analyze how students’ confidence and ability in math improved.
Collect student reflections on their MATHstream experience, including perceived challenges and what helped them improve. Encourage them to include the badges they earned and how they used their coins.
Review MATHstream reports in Data Insights.
Compare student scores to class averages to identify trends or outliers.
Review Item Analysis to identify and address areas of difficulty.
Track which streams or topics require the most repeats across the class to identify where whole class-instruction would be beneficial.
Analyze a pre- and post-diagnostic assessment to gauge student learning for specific standards.
