Assign from Resource (eBooks) WL

To assign activities in the online learning environment, you must first have a class created. Activities located in eBooks can be assigned directly from an eBook on your Resources page.

ASSIGN ACTIVITIES FROM EBOOKS

 
  1. To access your resources in the online learning environment, you must first have a class created. 

  2. Once you have selected a class and are on the Class Dashboard, click Content Library in the lower left. Then, click Resources.

          

  1. Change the filters if needed. Click on the eBook you wish to view activities in, such as the Student Edition. You can assign from the student or teacher’s edition.

  1. A panel will open on the right side that saysAssignments by Page”. Note - If you launch the book full screen, you lose the ability to assign directly from the book.

  1. To preview the activity, click the red eBook icon on the page. 

  1. To assign an activity, click the plus sign to add the assignment to the cart. Once you have added the assignment to the cart, the icon will change to a  minus sign showing the activity is already in the cart. You can slide the Assign Cart up or down if it is in your way.

          

  1. You can choose activities from more than one resource to put into your cart. Click on Resources in the top left to choose another item, such as the Workbook, and add more activities. Continue doing so until you have all of the activities you want to assign in the cart. 

  2. As long as you do not refresh your screen, use your back arrow, or leave the online learning environment, the activities you select will stay in your cart anchored to the right of your screen. 

  3. When you are ready to assign the activities from your cart, click on the Assign Cart to open it. 

          

  1. You can drag the activities in the cart into a certain order if you like. You have the option to Assign or Convert to Bundle. See Related Articles for information on Bundles.

  2.  Click Assign. In Step 1, you will review the activities you have selected. You can also reorder the activities by clicking and dragging them. 

  1.  Click Next.

  2.  In Step 2, you decide who you want to assign the assignments to and if you wish to change parameters for a class or for individual students.

    1. Select one or more classes to assign the activities to. 

    2. If you wish, you can change the dates and/or max attempts per class. 

    3. You can also click open the class to make individual student adjustments.

    4. Select or deselect students, change the dates and/or max attempts. *Note max attempts only applies to eBook activities.

  1.  Click Assign.  

  2.  If one or more activities have been previously assigned, you will get this message.

          

  1.  If you wish for students to complete the activity again, you should reset the assignment from the evaluate screen.
