MATHstream content is organized into Domains, Strands, and Streams.
There are 6 Domains in the supplemental math library.
Each Domain is organized into different Strands. The Strands will appear in order of complexity.
Each Strand contains all of the Streams.
A Stream consists of an instructional video with embedded questions and a related set of digital skills practice problems.
The video prepares students to answer the embedded formative assessment questions.
At the end of the stream, students will be presented with a random set of practice questions to assess their knowledge of the content.
A Collection represents a content area within a Domain.
Within each collection there are skills series corresponding to concepts within the content area.
Within those series there are multiple streams that each correspond to one skill.
MATHstream supports both initial learning and intervention needs for students. MATHstream videos are identified as LessonStreams and SkillStreams.
LessonStreams are intended as first-time learning opportunities. They are best for absent students, substitute days, or days when a math subject matter expert isn't in the classroom. LessonStreams are approximately 30-45 minutes in length.
SkillStreams are intended for re-engagement learning. Students have seen this content before, but did not initially master or retain mastery of the skill. These streams are best for Tier 2 and Tier 3 student interventions. SkillStreams are approximately 20-25 minutes in length.
