To preview an activity in the Course Navigator, click Preview. This button will be in the lower left corner of the activity card in grid view and on the right side of the activity bar in list view.
This will allow you to preview what students will see when they open the assignment. You may view each page separately or both simultaneously by clicking the buttons at the bottom of the screen.
You can also Preview and manage an activity from the Assignments page by clicking on the three vertical dots from multiple locations. This icon will be on the right side of the assignment bar or in the top right corner of the assignment tile, depending on your view (list or grid, respectively). The dropdown menu that appears after clicking the 3 dots will allow you to:
Click the assignment name to view more details, such as student progress and scores. You will see the same 3-dot icon in the top right corner of the page. Notice that there is one additional function available from the assignment details page: Export.
Reassign an activity to allow students an extra attempt. You will still be able to see students’ previous score(s) from the assignment details page. Students will see the activity reappear on their dashboard labeled with “New attempt”.
Teachers can Close Submissions for assignments, preventing students from accessing those assignments and submitting them. This feature allows teachers to control the number of active assignments visible in a class, enabling them to enforce deadlines effectively.
To close an assignment, click the three dots and select Close Submissions from the dropdown menu.
If an assignment is closed and no students have started the assignment, the assignment will be unassigned from the class and no longer visible to you in Assignments.
If students have already completed the assignment and/or are In Progress, the assignment will be moved to the Inactive tab and you will see a “Closed” status noted next to the assignment name.
At any time, you may reopen the assignment by selecting Reassign from the dropdown menu. Read more about closing an assignment here: Closing a World Language Assignment in Clear Learning Center
You may modify the dates on existing assignments from the Assignments tab or the assignment’s Details view.
To unassign any card for the whole class, follow the steps below.
If you Unassign after students have started the activity, it will be listed under Inactive, just like a closed assignment. Students are not able to see inactive assignments. If you want students to do the activity again, you can Reassign it by clicking on the same three dots. Read more about managing due dates here: Managing Dates for World Language Assignments in Clear Learning Center
To export assignment scores, start by going to the Assignments tab.
This will create a CSV download of the scores by student.
